A shame I sold this one. Found it in a hardware store, had probably been there for years :)

Wow,that sale might be considered a mortal sin in SAK heaven.LOL.

I was grabbing most of my aloxes together this morning and took a shot.

I have several, I know. But there are still some that are missing, like the Alox Rambler or the Marlinspike or an Alox Lumberjack or a mod by our very own Syph007 ... well maybe sometime, someday...

Does this qualify me as an alox-nerdish creature?!

Yes. I was lucky and could buy the knife without the watch  :D

Ah I think I remember that. I bought the automatic watch plus knife but had to send it back since it didn't work (the watch that is, I think the knife worked fine).
By the way it cost me a lot of money because the import/duty tax wasn't refunded :ahhh

Wow - liking that red, old style awl, alox model. Very sweet.

One I've been after for quite some time but haven't been able to snag one in my price range.

Nice pickup Jamie!

Another red alox mod from Syph arrived today. This one I found in good shape outside, but inside the pivot area it was really nasty and even rusted. Which I've not seen in SAKs that were stashed away years back without being oiled. There was also no edge whatsoever on the main blade either, but no real usage indications on it. Just odd. Syph had to work a little harder on this one getting it all pretty again and putting in the eblade.

The other alox, with the pen blade, is from Syph too. Those blades I was robbing from Settlers as their pen blade is a little heavier/thicker than the others and they fit just right, but I had to stop doing that since Settlers are discontinued too now I believe and tough to find. To use for parts especially.

But the eblade works quite well too, and once sharpened up, slices like crazy.

That one was by rickinFL.  The liners do work well with the black scales and red shield.  The second one has red liners and is a Syph custom.

I have a question about when my alox was made. It was a gift from my grandfather before her passed many moons ago and I was wondering if anyone could help me date it. I think I have it narrowed down between 1975-84 but dont quote me on that! Thanks for any info

I love not only the knives, but the time people put into taking artful pics.

After seeing some of the photos, I need to source some blue alox. Awesome looking colors.
