It's very annoying that there are so many variations with and without the keyring, as well as the various iterations of the regular and combo opener

I know what you mean. I've always wondered why the same models came with and without keyrings back then.

Mail call from +B. Bugnard Apprentice and Burgundy Soldier.

The Burgundy "Soldier" (I rather call it a Pioneer w/o key ring) did come with a defect. There is a slight discoloration of the anodizing in the engraving panel. Does anyone have a different like this on yours?
