This thread makes me both happy and sad, sad because in 1993 I started a job as a Prison Officer and my Wife very kindly bought me a lovely Alox SAK as a well done gift. The knife was the silver colour and it had an awl, big blade, the bottle opener and possibly nail file, it came in a little  brown vinyl pouch and was really a joy to have.

However as is often the case I stupidly lent it out and it was never to be seen again , I'm happy however to now see all these beautiful knifes in one place and have decided to see if I can find a similar knife.

Thanks to all who take the time to share.

I can help with both questions in the meantime.

The micro farmer is like a cadet with a saw down the middle. And instead of the file its a small blade.

The Swiss lanyards I've seen are usually found at Swiss Bianco's website.

Hmmm, I don't really need any Cadets, but they are cool.  They also have several color Farmers.

No!  I can be strong!  Must resist!!

For me as an Alox fan this is interesting....

Pioneer in black without engraving panel.

I didn't know this is a "standard"!
