are my scissors OK?

the scissors on my 400 may be bent, the handle drags on the pliers when they slide open and the fold the scissors shut I have to bend the handle a little to clear the inside of the pliers. is this normal? does yours do the same? my 600 is not like that.

Hmmmm. Mine is not like that at all. The handle is right alongside the plier head, but it never quite touches.

Do you think just the handle of the scissor is bent, or does it seem like the entire scissor implement is crooked where it pivots in the plier handle?

I can't verify this because I no longer have a 400... but I think mine had a small bit of drag when opening/closing the scissors.  I don't think it was as bad as you describe though.

I think someone here bought the 400 from me... hopefully they'll chime in.

Hi Sixgun,

I think something is wrong with the scissors on your Gerber 400.  I checked the three that I have and they don't have such a problem (one Fiskars and two unmarked).

Suggest calling Gerber and ask them to resolve the issue.

Best - Joe

I have two 400's and nothing of the sort. I'm sure Gerber will make it right!
