It was pretty decisive.

I'm glad that we have the opportunity to have such a debate. I'd have been devastated and a bit cross if Scotland did leave, but I wouldn't have wanted to live in a country that didn't at least give them the chance.

As having both sides of my family from Glasgow i was watching this debate closely, Scottish people are very proud of Scotland and there heratige and can see there point of view,I've heard some folk say that Scots don't like the Brits but I've never felt that myself i find them a warm and fun people,I'm glad they had a chance to vote.

A useful page showing how the voting broke down by area etc.

Interesting indeed! The one I'm most curious about is the break down on the basis of age
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

I saw that yesterday and I must admit I thought the distribution of voting was a bit odd

I heard there weren't any exit polls, or anything like that, so I doubt there's an official break down by age, with voting anonymity and all...

It was nice to be able to decide themselves.
Historically, Scotland is a distinct country that united with England through a very long process that included James VI, King of Scots, becoming King of England in 1603 following the death of Queen Elizabeth I. It isn't the same with all other regions. The closest are the federal states of Germany and Switzerland (and US of course) and I read that Bavaria might want to decide someday. As long as it is done in a peaceful and democratic way, it is fine.
Sentimentally I was for, but it was the Scots who should decide and that's what they did.
