Leatherman send me wrong sparepart.
on: July 02, 2008, 07:47:30 AM
Hello all from Thailand,

First time here. I have used Surge for 3 years and it never failed me. It is great tool.

Recently, I have requested a diamond file blade from Leatherman and they send it to me free of charge. However, what I receive today is a bit kit set instead. I think it is for Charge. I appreciate of theri great service, but I need a diamond file blade not, bit kit.

Should I go for another try?

Welcome to the forum du!

I would try contacting Leatherman again and make sure they understood what you wanted.

If you took all the intestines out of your body and stretched them end to end... you would die.

Although you wanted the file, that isn't a bad set to recieve as a mistake.  :)

I'm sure a quick email will get the issue resolved quickly.
I'm back!!

I am not sure if they will give you a free file because in the LM Accessory shop they charge $5.00 for one..

They have already said that they would send him one free of charge, so they won't charge him due to their mistake.
I'm back!!

Thanks all,

Well, what happen was I told them my diamond file blade was broken and I would like to have new one, just suggest me how I can order. They suggested me to order it from LM website. Unfortunately, it is for US resident order only. I told them that I couldn't order it since I am in Thailand and the LM dealer here do not sell any LM accessory. So they decided to send me one free of charge(I think becasue they didn't mention any cost in e-mail). So, I've just sent them another mail about this mistake.

It is still a great service from LM.

No du! don't go anywhere! Love to see another Southeast Asian here. Welcome to the forums. How's the multitool scene in Thailand? Coincidentally, I'll be visiting Bangkok next week.
