I'd say that must be the best looking SAK so far. :tu: Don't think they even had names back then, late 1940s probably due to the é in Armée being tilted to the right (1935-51) and the can opener between the current one and the old style one we see up till the early 40s.
 
Regrettably this one has 3 layers and the limit for the challenge is 2 layers. 

You can however enter with some other nice knife from your collection. :tu:

So I've used the Compact's knife to cut open a box and to free a packing slip from its plastic sleeve on said box.  I was messing around with the combo opener tool, and the pointy(ish) tip works as a phillips driver, albeit a little awkward depending on what's around the screw.  Not the best phillips as you can't have an uninterrupted turn with the angle necessary to make it work, but good to know it can work in a pinch during this challenge ;)

Anyways ...

I'm happy I chose the Waiter and not the bantam as I needed a extra small Philips screwdriver today to get inside a battery compartment, a job usually easily dealt by the Rambler, but this time the small flat head living in the corkscrew worked a treat. :cheers:

Is a Lux-pro LP200 mininalist enough for the lite challenge? It uses 1 AA battery and has a max output of 90 lumens.

Pretty uneventful day for my Pioneer today.  Could have done with some scissors or a file to trim a rough nail but made do with my teeth. :(  Nice to have some classic Alox in my pocket though.   :tu:

Everyone who's taking up the challenge seems to be going for 5mm LEDs which are rated WAY less than 90lm. That said, I'd just go for the most basic little torch you have

Old style minimag should be basic enough though I reckon  :D

Got it. I will pick up the little mini mag tomarrow. Like I said, they are only $3 USD. Its has got to be better than a lighter and cheaper than fluild.
Believe it or not, I only had the one torch. Two now. But it was only 6 USD.
For the record, I did not use it for anything.

Yup, and perfect for it too.  :tu: My favorite too in the 5mm format as it can take both AA and AAA batteries.

The flashlight part is optional, just an additional challenge I threw in. ;) The best of the 5mm flashlights can maybe break about 10 lumens. But going old style incandescent MiniMag will also work. :cheers:
