Well if you want to make it brighter, you can always take the battery out and carry matches in it.

Compact breezed through day 2. Not much action today. Just touched up a nail, opened a letter and showed it off to a co-worker.

Used the light a couple of times, and used the knife to open up a frozen meal. Easy day

BTW, I almost failed the flashlight part yesterday.

I usually have a flashlight on my nightstand, ZL SC51, and grabbed for it. Luckily I remembered before turning it on. Safely stored now. ;)

Used the blade of the Tourist to open mail, and a package.  Convinced my wife that, despite having a very good butterfly-type corkscrew in the drawer, I needed to use the CS on my SAK ;)  Used the small blade to cut back the foil on the bottle as well.

Ha, I almost did the same thing this morning.  Grabbed the sc52w to check on the daughter, but caught myself in time.

%$@#'s about to get real, I have had light use over the last few days, opened a few bottles of beer  (one popular brand of "pure" beer in Southern African does not use screw off lids) and opened a package at work. Light is proving adequate for finding the keyhole when the light was left off, walking upstairs after locking up and turning lights off.

Coming up in the next two weeks is a trip to Mozambique where I will do some fishing and a camping expedition with the family.

The minimal setup is what I tend to carry when I travel internationally anyway; should be fine when there.
Some arb information, my Soldier was bought in duty free at Zurich airport, no flight restrictions back then!
I'll put the waiter in my luggage for the flight, not sure how the short light plane hop is going to work. If they take my waiter its not a massive financial loss I guess.

Camping; I usually carry a Trailmaster (Trekker) 111mm that I mainly use for bottles and prying with the odd screwdriver task. Will leave it in the car along with the Leatherman for the heavy work if needed.

Golfer got some light work yesterday; opening letters, cutting tags of some new shoes and, most importantly, uncorking a 1986 Vintage Port and cutting some muslin to aid in the decanting. :)
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

They do now. Some of the older ones did not.
Some of it is just that we are old skool, any Sak that had plus scales got the plus added to the name.

So you now have a "Compact". Which was an "Old Compact" before adding the Plus scales.  :D

Mine is one the older ones that still has the thick blade, no file on the hook and has plus scales that came factory. But not old enough to be one of ones with plain scales.
