This was 50 rounds of 9mm from an HK USP at 25 feet, Weaver stance. A fairly good day. On my most recent outing the groups were about twice that size. Lousy breath control. (At least I'm still breathing  :D)

For a second there I thought you had shot the SAK!! Must be time for coffee.

Definitely. Hit a SAK with a 9mm and it would pretty thoroughly ruin it.

That is one thing I will NOT be testing. It makes me sad just thinking of shooting a SAK.

Then again... I wonder what their rating is as armor...

I have a feeling like because of the layers, it might do well to stop pistol rounds. Lots of ways to dissipate the energy across the tool and layers of resistant material. Now I'm curious.

Suspect that if you hit one with a full-power rifle round, you're going to end up with a lot of small pieces.

This is my thought, and I think a 45 will smurf up a SAKs smurf.

Sounds like the rabbit I once hit with a 300-grain hollowpoint from my Marlin .45-70.  Got skunked deer hunting and didn't want to leave the woods with the same round in the chamber I went in with, so.........  ::)
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

Stopping a rifle round is a whole different story than stopping a pistol round. LOTS more energy there.

Maybe get three cheap 91mms. Shoot one with a .22LR, one with a 9mm or .45, and one with a full power rifle. Be interesting to compare the results.
