Day Z
on: January 24, 2015, 01:54:26 AM
So my friends got me to buy Day Z, for anyone who doesn't know what it is, it's a huge open world zombie apocalypse survival game. Basically you're dropped into the world with nothing, and need to scavenge for supplies to survive. You can die from a myriad of things, hunger, thirst, cold, sickness, bleeding, most of the things that would happen in real life.

Well I got to playing, and it's actually pretty challenging. Also shows how bad human nature can be , I offered someone food only to have them knock me unconscious and take my things, then run back and apologize before returning everything but my ax

Has anyone played before?

Nope. But they didn't give you back the ax so it can't get lodged in their neocortex
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

heart in one hand and an axe in the other. you can be good and all that jazz but make sure people know you'll swing for the fences

I saw this game via the Steam sale at some point, and thought nope... sounds like too much work for something that should be entertaining me... plus, no linux support.
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

It's really involved, but I would definitely say it's been entertaining. It's one of the most complex games I've played.
