Southern Alabama Hunting Trip!
on: January 26, 2015, 08:43:13 PM
Just got back from quite the trip! Spent 4 days at a place we call Aunt Willys. It's 116 year old cabin. It has electricity and heat now, but you can still feel the wind blow through the walls.

Pic heavy be wary. I got quite bored in the shooting houses.

Bud of mines 5 point. Considered it a Cull buck. Had some pretty odd genetics.

Here is picture of the cabin.

There is also an old corn shed  that was built with the original cabin back in the mid 1800s. All the hinges and handles are all hand forged. And raised on natural limestone rocks that were carved to lock together.

Did you use that ZT or LMs to process it?

One more of my tools, it felt really good to carry a fixed blade. But the leathermans still got plenty of use.

I also got to use the Avid Gun tool!

Actually we used a Buck 112 I received from JBW1 and a Buck Omni-Hunter that was my EDC there.

I may add I sharpened all of their knives.....they had tons of sharpening stones everywhere. So after I was told they processed the 7 point with a Kershaw Leek I gladly let them use my knives and I spent a few hours sharpening all theirs.

Trip to LA (Lower Alabama).  Nice!  Lots of deer down there.  Love the cabin.

Great video and nice place
Thanks again you guys! It's always nice to get up there. No phone signal except you get 1 bar of signal and 1 bar of 3g if you are up in a shooting house.

Which is BARELY enough to send a text or recieve MTO notifications (but not view them)

That last image appears to violate the open container law?

My brother was selected for the Eglin Youth Hunt this year. They choose roughly 500 kids out of over 5500 applicants!

Within the first hour his tags were filled!
