im having a similar dilemma. can someone tell me what the postage is like from US to Australia? the package would probably be about the same as a leatherman or something.
USPS International Priority Mail via a Flat rate padded envelope or VHS tape sized box is 24.75. It says expected delivery would be 6 to 10 buisness days? Probably only to reach Australia. Then it must go through your system as well.

If you wanted it quicker, it's 46.50 (USD) In a padded envelope. And 84.75 for a box.

I'm not concerned about speed, at that cost I can actually get it the same price from Australia, I was just wondering how cheap I could actually get it because I have bought things from the US before with free postage. thanks anyway  :tu:

  • Apparently it is possible to have too many tools;)
I can't remember seeing any eBay US sellers offering free postage on MTs to Australia, in fact most will only ship within the US.

$12-$15 for USPS First Class International. You can look up exact rates on the USPS website.
And that would normally take about 2 weeks to get there.

Which is cheaper, Priority or First Class? I always forget this.
I paid shipping from US recently for:
a Skeletool $12.75
a Crunch $12.65
an Endura $23.95
a Victorinox SOS kit $23.95
a Surge $16.75

If I remember right  the $24 shipments were with parcels and the rest with envelopes

First Class is the cheapest and arrives for me in same time as the so called Priority. ;)

You're a lifesaver, Enki. Regular interface took me to 80 USD. What you said took me to 8 USD for my Spydie.

Yes. I wanted to be sure you received the shipping costs.
So, all I have to do now is wait. This is the difficult part, always.

Nothing yet. Usually it takes 2-4 weeks. But one item ($300) didn't arrive after two years and that's why I always wait in agony.

They arrived, safe and sound. I tried them and they are what they I was hopping, especially the 10mm that will be my workhorses. I would never find such eyepieces in Europe at these prices.
Thank you Nathan, you've been a great help.
