I have seen the Lionsteel's and would consider one if I had the funds.

I was sure my 2015 knive purchases were dealt with, when I went on a buying spree in the start of January.

But then Lionsteel released the pictures of this beauty. I need to have one.

Nice write up. I'll say I do think the knife is worth the price when it's compared to other knives in its price range. I've been lucky enough to own Hinderers, Striders, Lion Steels and a number of customs from makers like Southard and Wilkins and feel the CRK beats all in terms of F&F, based on my own personal experiences. The Sebenza simply does a better job meeting my own definition of what an EDC knife should be, even though I really liked my Lion Steel SR2. I've been carrying a CRK for over 7 years now and it gets carried every day, both on duty and off. Like I've said elsewhere, I've cut everything from apples to firehose with no issues. I also prefer a steel that will roll over chip and don't have any issues with how the steel performs, even though I know there are "better" steels out there. I'll no doubt own plenty of other knives in the future, but I'm never looking for better, just different.

Glad to hear about you thoughts on the Sebenza. 7 years is a long time to be carrying that bad boy. Sounds like for good reason.  :tu:

I have a Sanrenmu 710 in black . the so called poor man's Sebenza. Good knife, but i'm not particularly thrilled about it. I guess I would feel the same about the real deal.
And for the money of the real deal, I'd get something else.

I would not say that is a fair assessment.

I don't blame you for wanting something else for the money though. They aren't for everyone.
