For me the Spyderco Tenacious is probably the perfect EDC, but I also believe at some point I'll have to hold back or break the tip.

Been looking around for a while, the CS AK47 and Lawman are also good options, but much more expensive.

My idea with the Finn Wolf is simple: get rid of the clip and slip it in my pocket, beat the smurf out of it till I die  >:D

Thanks Goute. Good to know. Might be cool to make some wood or GFN handles for it.

I'd go for it maybe, if they added a screw driver/bottle opener. And maybe a can opener. And I have to have tweezers and scissors.

Oh wait, I already have a knife like that!
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

Its a pretty slim construction, so that should work well :tu:

If you could pull that off, it would look awesome!

I have not seen a SAK with that type of blade and lock up.

Na, i stepped away from cold steel.
I stick with my EKA swede 8. Cheaper, wooden handles, 10 year warranty. And..... made in Sweden.

I forgot about those. I can not tell by the pics, are they a scandi grind? I wish more companies would offer a scandi grind on there folders.
Come to think of it, the only way my SOG Vulcan could get any better is if it had a Scandi grind.

Granted I'm a bit new to the EDC, but I've given up on trying to carry everything with me, I used the screwdriver of the Skeletool once in many months.
If I have a knife:
bottle opener - yes, and a lighter, seat belt buckle and many other things work just as well.
can opener - yes
tweezers - yes, between blade and thumb nail...
scissors......which I never use.

Now I feel naked without something in my pocket, but for my current circumstances (normal day in the office) I for sure don't need more.

The EKA does not have a Scandi grind.

Helle do have one, with wood handle and laminated steel blade. Helle Dokka.

Its a bit pricey though. I havent got one, but have been wanting to get one.

I also took the Finn wolf with me on a short walk in the woods today. (Sorry, I forgot to take pics)
I had forgotten just how brutally effective it is on fresh wood. It effortlessly removed big chunks of wood, just like a Mora. :)

Your killing me man.

Im sorry... You definitly dont need a $149 Helle Dokka, and compared to the Helle, the Finn wolf is actually quite cheap at $35.  And applying MTO logic, if you buy a Finn wolf, you just saved $114 ;)

Had one chance to get a Besegen, missed it and clearly it was old stock, I can't afford the price I can get them at.

Now those are sweet! Love the Lynx. I really like the MFKs, but they are not scandis or big enough.
But that Lynx is sweet looking. I have been thinking about getting a folder. I have been really eye balling the SOG Trident Elite with a tan to blade in black tini, but now I am thinking about getting a Lynx. Wonder if they make them in B.O.?

Also again Goute, your killing me here. LOL! You always have some of the best knife porn. Thanks for the link. Those are sweet looking blades.

I have been using the Finn Wolf a lot lately, but only on wood, and taking a closer look at the edge I noticed this:
:(

Also I just got a Martiini polar, and its not a true scandi. :(

Par for the course with a non-super steel knife?

The little Enlan I've been carrying recently was caked with sheep fat and had a nasty roll on the edge after Saturday's fun, no idea how it happened, but easy & quick to fix.

Turns out my Finn Wolf was not ordered, so I'll most likely only get one around Feb 2016  >:(

Its built like a tank! Its got crazy thick liners and weigh a ton.
Here is a pic nect to a spyderco tenacious that looks puny next to it.

It cuts pretty good. Its almost a scandi. The second bevel is only a degree or two steeper than the main bevel.

It is the sharpest knife I got out from box, I am concern if I could keep it sharp due to that special grind.
The opening action is tough, my fingers hard a bit after playing with it all day.
Great knife for $30

Its not a easy OH opener. I removed the thumstud on mine, since I open it 2H anyway.
I found it easy to keep sharp on a ceramic stone.

I think I mentioned mine arrived, but it seems to have been dropped in the shop and had a massive chip towards the back of the edge and 2 plainly visible on about the belly of the blade.

Tiny bit small for my hand, but the opening almost felt assisted to me.

I have concerns about the steel&grind, but I asked that they order another after only a few minutes in hand.

Where the edge was intact it was ludicrously sharp  :salute:

There might be issues with the re-order, and if it drags too long the exchange rate on new stock will make the price unjustifiable.

That would be a pity, since it weighs nothing I was planning on putting the Skeletool back in my pocket along with the Finn Wolf on a permanent basis.
