Chinese Juice
on: July 24, 2008, 05:28:33 AM
I bid on a lot of 10 NTSA MTs because it was going cheap and I thought I spotted what might be a juice. The picture was bad enough that I couldnt even tell the color for sure so I took a chance.  Other than being about 10% bigger its very much like a juice.  It seems to be better quality than a lot of China MTs. Only real bad thing is the scissor spring.   I did get lucky though because 1 tool turned out to be  a red handled Mini Bear jaws which is very nice. :D

Thats a good lookin tool. You can call me old fashioned, but still nothing beats a genuine American made Leatherman MT.

Unless you are in California, then it's a "Good old fashioned 80% made in the USA multitool, with some components and/or raw materials sourced from Mexico!"   :pok:

Quality looks to be good compared to most china tools I see. The blades all look well done.  The backsprings that work the scissor spring are very weak.  Seems like a good enough tool to use for a beater.

I just picked up one of those Chinese Juice copies myself yesterday. Odd that they made it 10% bigger than the Leatherman. Everything else though is painstakingly copied from the original, including dull-as-a-butter-knife can opener blade and heavily rounded tip on the awl. ::)

It's 10% larger because they traced around the original's parts with a fat magic marker to make their design....  :P

Is this tool worth getting for gifts? If so where did you get it? Thanks.

Not unless you're gifting your worst enemy! :P  Seriously though, its not complete junk, but almost. I would get someone a cheap used Juice off from eBay before I'd get them this thing.

Thanks! I've been giving Kicks. So far everyone likes them. I guess I'll continue with the Kick.

That would be a wise choice. Not too expensive, and who wouldn't love getting a Leatherman as a gift?
