Thought you all might want to know that Stew, scattergun13, got caught in the Tornado that swept through Oklahoma last evening.
He, and everyone he knows is fine, as are his nearest and dearest, but he did lose the roof and a couple of windshields.
Fortunately, he had a Gerber MP600 in his pocket, that he'd just picked up from the PO (A trade with me), so he was able to "feel prepared".

Damn, saw that on the news this morning. :(  Glad to hear he's OK.

Hey all, just found this. We're standing and doing well all things considered. Things are much worse just West and South of me. I haven't heard from Kat yet so I don't know how she came out. We're sort of used to this around here but, I gave up a home and every single thing I ever owned on May 3rd 1999 in what remains the largest tornado the planet has ever seen. It was categorized as an F6 and at the time the scale only went up to F5. I had lived in that house for 6 months and had just bought and closed on it the week before impact. The only good part of that was that I had nothing to clean up and nothing to recover. I just took the insurance check and never went back.
I bought that house for my then wife and 3 year old daughter, they wanted a storm cellar and it had a nice one. Just before we got hit most of the nieghborhood came to my house. When it was over there were 23 people, 4 dogs and 2 Guinnea pigs in my storm shelter and none of us had a home to go back to. Good times here in Oklahoma! Thanks for the concern all.

I did literally have that Pro 600 in my pocket that was in my mailbox from Neill. I got it at 1630hrs and stuck it in my pocket because things were heating up around here. About an hour later it came in handy for picking crap up out of my yard. Way to go Neill!

are you sure this wasn't just a more convenient and cost effective way to do Random Acts of Kindness?  I can just see you tossing multitools into the funnel to have them distributed faster to those who need them....

I already told Stew that I'm not insuring him because apparently he has bad luck with this thing. (I'm the invincible one and so is my house, apparently).
