So, I have a couple of friends at work, really a couple, married and all. Tommorrow is her last day before she goes on maternity leave. I'm kind of in awe- she seems to be getting bigger by the day at this point. So I asked the male half of the couple if the birthing bag was already packed and in the car, and he said it was. But he called it a bug out bag.

And that got me to thinking. Is birth a bug out?

I would say "yes and no" a birthing bag is technically a bug-out-bag, something packed/ready for an emergency but... it's more specific to a certain short term need as opposed to a general purpose bug-out-bag which is more encompassing (stuff) and for longer term (my view).

and Congrats to your friends! :tu: may life be fuller and more wonderful for them (and lucky and blessed)  ;)

suggestion here, keep bug-out-bags in trunks or safely locked up on cars, mine was stolen..  :( >:(  low-lifes/thieves look for them...

What I was actually thinking is, is being born a bug out? You are being force to relocate from your accustomed location by a crisis with no plan and no intell. Are we all just refugees of the womb?

Yes I'm on allergy meds. I'm a little dingy right now.

And actually, Fallopian Tube Refugees sounds like a pretty good band name.  :D
