Question for You Leatherman Gurus!!!

Well i read in another forum that there was a special run of Waves made for A.G. Russell that had titanium slabs. The question is: This Wave really existed? Do you have a picture or a link to a picture? Any help apreciated!!!

How would you know they were actually Waves? I assume the only difference would be the lesser blade steel and the name milled into the scales?

I don't know, the guy who gave the information didn't provide any more details, but considering that that A.G. has a lot of special runs, there was the possiblity that these "titanium waves" really existed.

Here is the link Dave, but consider that this is a link to the knives & Tools subforum of a Mexican hunting forum. Check reply No. 22 from a guy called Latro (this guy has an impressive collection of over 1,200 knives, not considering repeated models). He also mentions that this special run was of less than 200 pieces.

Could be Donald, but i think that it will still miss the 154CM blade, but i have no more info about it.

Looking at the Wave.......the handles are built differently than the Charge......the entire handle is one piece on the Wave, so it could not just have "titanium slabs."   

Doesn't seem likely that they would make the entire handle out of titanium......

If it existed that would make it super expensive

If this did exist, it never appeared in any of AG's various catalogs.  I think this is highly unlikely.

Well it's official: according to an insider at Leatherman, they never produced a titanium Wave.

I suspect the person on the other forum was actually referring to a Charge.

That sounds plausible - the Charge TTi is basically a Wave with Ti handles and a gut hook, so you could understand someone making that mistake.
