Should the cloud cover ever clear, I'll spend more than a few hours watching them. I might even take the Jeep out to a remote spot and enjoy them in peace.Def
I can try, we have a new camcorder, it's a good idea but it will be a lucky shot.
well the camcorder didn't work it couldn't pick up the low light/stars, nothingsorry and the falling stars were very good! I seen the 2nd and 3rd biggest of my life!twin sisters/arrows from the east to west right over head. Amazing, BRILLIANT they were!(of course she missed them and got mad at me )
I just saw the weirdest thing, I was out looking at the heavens a little while ago, still watching the meteor showers (rather slow tonight) and the sky lit up and when I focused on the area where it was coming from, their were 2 stars next toeach other (north star and other), one faded fast and was gone! was it a "FireBall" type meteor or a super nova?!!
it was amazing! wish I had been looking at it directly.but the sky turned all blue like day time or lightning.
Not a good Iridium flare perhaps? OK, probably not, could be an exploding meteor. I remember on of those in my teens, this sounds very similar.Despite my trip up into Yorkshire I failed miserably to see anything decent due to traditional British weather Neil
