Laying down on the floor and rolling vigorously back and forth, (like a log) will help dislodge kidney stones. This was something done by rural people many years ago when no Dr was available. My FIL tried it and it worked about 10 years ago and he passed it easy. Now don't try it if your in pain or have complications...I'm no Dr, this is simply a folk wisdom remedy that worked for my in-law.believe it or not, that is what I did, because it seemed logical while waiting on my wife to get back and take me in.the other thing that seems to help me when the pain is high, is walking. it only hurts 90% as bad as sitting, but also moves your body and seems to help move things along (if this is just the placebo effect, don't tell me )I forgot to add that you should whistle "Yankee Doodle Dandy" as you roll....that's important because here in the south, that usually resulted in a loyal southerner kidney punching you as you roll.....probably a key point that I forgot to mention......

Laser therapy helps to break them down. In the long run, drinking more water may help, but certain people have a genetic pre disposition. sounds like something to post on "what do we have on the way" thread... Hope this passes soon. Take care.
Never noticed having them, so I assume I never had them. Here it is seen as an excuse to drink lots of beer for medicinal reasons all the best with your passing detron
Really? .
Megan is only too happy to tell you the joys I had with my most recent bout of kidney stones which occurred last October. I was out on a job with my boss and the pain was so bad that I stopped at the side of the highway on the way back into town and threw up at the side of the road, so violently that I ruptured something internally and got to start enjoying some intestinal bleeding too.Because of that I also lost control of something else and I remember sitting on the couch watching TV when a sneeze snuck up on me and caused me to soil myself.I had gone to the hospital on the Friday and had gotten three different prescriptions- one super duper pain killer, one anti inflammatory (naproxen) and another pill that was supposed to keep the naproxen from making a mess of me. I ended up passing the stone Friday evening so I had only managed to take one of each pill before the other problem (loss of control) started. Since I passed the stone I didn't bother taking any more pills. I suffered with that all weekend long figuring it would go away, which it never did. Symptoms of intestinal bleeding are very bad and sometimes lethal, so trying to wait it out was bad too. When I finally got to the doctor on Monday he told me that the pills I had for protecting my stomach would have cleared up my problem with my intestines all along. I'd assumed they were only necessary if I was taking the Naproxen, and since I wasn't taking that I saw no need to take the other.Long story short, doctors may treat you like you are wasting their time, but waste as much as you need and ask all the questions you can. I suffered with a potentially lethal, very embarrassing and easily treatable issue for days because the doctor couldn't take a moment and explain things to me.Def
I am sorry, if i said stupid things. My language skills aren't so good, so misunderstandings will happen.
Man that sucks. I get my crystals in the joints (Gout). No way can it be as bad as stones.

Women fighting over you..... Never had a kidney stone - never want to. Drinking lots of beer, now, as a prevention

Detron if you ever go to the hospital again without telling your friends, so we can check on you. I'll come remove your kidney stone myself with a melon baller and a plastic Spork! Or I'll put the damn thing back in with a 223 cal breach brush!
