I can't wait to use it!However many times anyone here tells you it's fine to use the hook to slide down a cable car cable to escape the baddies - it's not. That is a really nice find pablo - great score. Also, as long as the person you're dating is also a SAK collector - your new Climber could be a nice ice breaker.
Scratch that.....Tang is 1986 - 2005So 1992 - 2005 is my guess.
I'll add my two cents. After 2000? (SAMM's dates) from the scissors handle and before 2004 from the 2.4mm tang. Could be the beer talking.
I thought that it would be best to ask about this car boot sale find here. A 111mm Fireman with olive drab scales and a liner lock. The main blade is scratched up, and the can opener design seems to be pre-2004. Great condition, except for the main blade. It came with a Vic pouch as well. Not bad for €15.My question is, whats with the back tang stamp?DE-GM, 9305297.I've never seen it before (not that that counts for anything...) and google results say Danish army knife, but that makes no sense. Maybe reused stock? Thanks.
Direct from Mr. Elsener:"DE-GM / 9305297 = It's the term of our German registered design of the locking mechanism:DE = Deutschland / GermanyGM = Gebrauchsmuster / registered design93005297 = numberIf you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.Yours sincerelyVICTORINOXExecutive Master of Business ExcellenceRobert Elsener"
Thanks for the speedy replies So its basically a patent stamp that is associated with the DAK. Thanks again. Now to convince myself not to buy anymore SAK's.
