What to do with a broken knife?
on: June 23, 2015, 06:01:30 AM
This is a question I have kind of had for a while but never thought it would happen to me. I have a Gerber fast draw 3 inch that accidentally went through my dryer (don't ask ) and no longer works.  The blade flops open and closed and the lock and assist mechanism don't work anymore.   I'm wondering if gerber doesn't come through with warranty/parts service then I am thinking about trying to turn it into a fixed blade of sorts. My thoughts are that maybe some kind of epoxy or jb weld could work but I am open to any suggestions or feedback.

I would not be surprised if Gerber replaces it no questions asked. Their customer service is better than ANY in the business that I have come across.

The Captain is right on this...Gerber does have great customer service...I'd consider going online to their website, filling out their support notice and sending it in.  I'll bet you'll get it fixed/replaced quickly.
