I was surfing fleabay today and noticed this really weird looking knife that I hadn't seen anything like before. Does anyone have any knowledge on these or can comment on what they think from the pictures?

Made in Japan by Mitsoboshi in the 1960s. If you'll scroll down this post I made on another forum, asking for ID help of a similar one my Dad gave me (either he or my grandfather had it since new) you'll see one just like yours. The larger one at the top of the page is mine, made by Valor.
