Apparently one of the models is pink, in case you need a pink multitool for your collection :)

I ordered an "assorted color", ended up getting a black one. After trying a few basic tasks like cutting, using the scissors, and driving some screws I don't think it's even worth $6. I'm not going to return it because that would be a waste of time but I doubt I'll use it for anything.

Yeah, the sad truth is I was at a Cabela's some time back and looked at one of these, then decided I wouldn't buy one at any price.

This will shock some, who know how many cheap-smurf tools I have. But that's how low my opinion was of the tool.

That bad, huh? I always figured maybe it was worth it as a collection piece (for large collections) at $5.99.

How have the mighty fallen??  :(

As we all know what their first multitool was!!  :o

And the (multitool) world would have been a different place if it was not for them!!

It's not that it's worse than anything I have. It's that I filled my 'junk quota'. If I buy any more cheap MTs, it will be because they seem to be a notch above what I'd expect in that price range. The Cabella's was not.

It also comes in black and yellow clamshell packaging that looks suspiciously Leatherman like.

Quality, not quantity is the main focus of my collection.  I'd rather have my small collection (a dozen?) of US, Japanese, and European pocketknives and multitools than my equally sized cheapo to the max collection.   I know some cheapos are almost as good as the good ones, and I keep those as backups to my EDCs.

$6 isn't bad, but that's beat up old US made knife money.   I've found dingy beat up knives that I was able to clean and sharpen into some of the best knives I own.

Tool choice is good, price is great.  It's the quality that's the problem.  All inexpensive Chinese made knives aren't that good.  I've had numerous SAK copies I've got as gifts that had blades that seemed warped and were difficult to open and/or close.  I've had accidents due to cheap tactical folders (which used to be my EDC in my early knife carrying years) that caused damage to clothing, or worse, skin because the lock had messed up.  I once had a Colonial (now they're Chinese made, not a quality US made knife anymore!) assisted opener flick open in my pocket, cutting a hole all the way through a brand new pair of pants!

I'm sticking with my PST II, something I know won't let me down when I need it!
