FSOT: Original Leatherman Tool.
on: July 31, 2015, 07:55:33 AM
Up for sale here is my original Leatherman Tool, made in Portland, OR.

I bought it in the late 80s or early 90s, thinking it was about time I had a REAL multitool. But I just didn't like it. (not comfortable to squeeze the pliers hard)

It has been carried maybe a dozen days or so, and used only very lightly.

There is the tiniest trace of green corrosion around the snap on the pouch.

I would rate this as 9/10 condition.

I'm hoping to find a good collector's home for it. (it has hardly been used in 25 years, why start now!? ;)  )

$100 shipped Price drop to $70 CONUS or will trade even up for a Swisstool Spirit X in equally great shape. May also consider an S60 or S44 SOG in partial trade.

On Leatherman's website > Our Story > Tool timeline, it says the PST was the original tool first made in 1983 and retired in 2004.

OK, whatever it's called, I'll leave that to the vintage Leatherman experts. I'm not trying to pull one over on you.

As I understand it, it was just called a Leatherman Tool, since there was only one model back then.  PST monikers were later, right?

Anyway, it's super clean and minty. My price seems a little high. I'll lower it to $75 shipped CONUS or trade for a Spirit X or Gerber MP600. (Skip the SOG)

Priced reduced to $65 shipped CONUS or $60 + actual shipping cost outside the continental USA.

No one is tempted by this mint condition original Leatherman?  :pok:
