Binge buying spree

I just went on an MT buying spree late last night.

• Traded some knives for 2 Gerber MP400s and a bit of cash
• Ordered a new Swisstool Spirit X, engraved with my name (I figure since this is the forum favorite and since I've always loved SAKs, I'll never want to get rid of it)
• Bought a new Wave on ebay (at $40 off retail. There is no lack of supply of Waves out there!)
• Bought a Gerber MP600 satin/blunt

I figure the Spirit X and Wave will end up getting the most carry, and the others will be relegated to certain locations: wife's glove box, my glove box, EDC messenger bag, kitchen drawer, work desk drawer, Mom's purse or glove box, brother's glove box, maybe give an MP400 to my son (for his first plier-based MT)

I have some small amount of pride in that I'll now have  MTo's Top 5 All-around favorite plier-based MTs, plus a Wingman (#8), and an MP600 (#10).

You might wonder how I pulled this off without incurring the wrath of She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed.  I discovered I had a PayPal balance from previous sales. Yay for found money!

Well this is a relatively cheap hobby. In the old days I could have spent a few times that amount on one box of cigars and all the money went up in smoke. At least with some hobbies what you buy remains useful for years to come

Anyway let me know how you like the 600 when you had a chance to try breaking the pliers on it.

Agreed, and more to the point, cheaper than shooting guns, with today's ammo and ammo component prices. It doesn't cost much to open one's treasure box full of multi-tools and fiddle with them for a while. (where's the Nerd smiley?)

Here's one of my favorites, the Ruger Redhawk in 44 Magnum, with some hand loads.
