A key ring is essential for me because I like lanyards.

This!

It's one of the reasons I don't carry an Electrician.

Well i have a love/hate relationship with the keyring's too. I always wanted to have a small Tinker without one (like the one MacGyver used on the first EP's) but could never get one...
Have removed the ring sometimes, kept it some other times...

All in all i prefer having it there, just feels more right to me and i feel i can grab the knife better, and it might always come in handy to suspend it or attaching it to anything if the need arises.

Mind you i don't use lanyard's, hangers, put it in keychain's (other than the 58's) or any other stuff, just hate to have stuff attached to it, getting in the way.
I just keep my sak's loose in my pocket pant's.

As far as the 93mm, i agree with most of you. I would rather have one without the keyring, not only it looks better without one but it's way more comfortable. But then again i almost never carry my Pioneer so...

Curiously enough I learned yesterday that there was a "Small Tinker" when I just found one on sale, and at first I thought it was a knockoff but looked it up on the net after the seller insisted it was a genuine Vic.

I really would not want to miss my keyring!  :o

When I first got my SAK I lost it once. It's been on a lanyard ever since. I used one of those Victorinox leather belt straps. Turns out I've been using it wrong all those years.
After the first one broke after years of use, my second one wore down within two years. I've bought a third but wanted a better solution.

Now I've made a paracord strap. It's flatbraid to keep the profile low. Now it has hooks on both ends which let me take it off if I need to screw something down or saw something. A strap can be a hindrance with those things. I've added a Photon Freedom Covert light. I like the Vic inline light, but this one has more options and fit's mu needs better.
And I can also take it off and use the light and the knife at the same time.

Ooo i've also didn't really found out that there was one that much long ago myself. Maybe back in 2006/2007 or so, and i think it was on the Macgyver online site. Needless to say that i got one or three at the time (and a Tourist too while i was at it ) and it was my main EDC for a long time  :salute:
Curiously enough it's getting back as my main "pocket" one again. At least in the summer time, when you only have your pants pocket's to carry stuff in, and i've always hated to carry loads of stuff, so... ;)

Only have experience of it on the 93mm Alox Pruner. The first one I had (standard) didn't have the keyring thingy. Then I bought a nice coloured one from swissbianco and it had the keyring nub. Super uncomfortable and now filed off. Wish I hadn't had to do it though, it's just a bad design. Sticking into your hand sharply every time you use the main blade, i.e. most of the time.

I don't really know if you guys like your knives and MTs or not, but I just have one thing to say:

Most of my cellidor SAKs have keyrings. Most of my alox SAKs don't. I'm fine either way. I filed down the Waiter's keyring nub for a smoother pocket carry.
