Sliding pliers head with sprung handles, SAK nested within the handles detachable for simultaneous pliers and SAK use. i.e. 2 separate tool entities for 2 hands or 2 user.

I'm feeling generous tonight, so I have decided to grant your second wish, with immediate effect:

That's a fantastic design in MT history. Thanks Gregozedobe for your generosity. Good to know that the idea is made and secure in Chako's museum.

Did someone ask for a spring loaded front opening MT?

If you feel the need to fondle one of teh Pro Locks, i do have one I´d trade you for something similar odd.

It was a nice Idea that died immediately as there were no other handle implementrs available. Maybe in teh long run SOGs idea of selling the tools individually and make them esily switcheable is the better idea as it is simpler?

I'll like to take up your offer, but I do not have much MT or any odd ones. What tools do you think are as odd as the Coleman Pro Lock?

SOGs is good for the easy to purchase and change tools, compound leverage for cutting hard cable, rods. I'm trying them out. The Coleman is distinctively different in the nested tools.

Thanks Gareth. Gerber has several unique features in its MTs, I have yet to find one to pay for, will keep a lookout. Cheers!

Hey SAKnight, I did it using soft pastels on A3 paper, around 2008/2009. Referenced a photo of Ducati 1098s.

Shucks, and you know, I almost said paint/draw. Either way, it's fantastic! Vehicles are the only thing that I'd ever wanted to draw, never had the patience to learn though. Great job!

Thank you. You are into F1? It does look like watercolor when the image is small on screen. Art and design school instructors did push the learning and patience factors. There are many resources on drawing vehicles, you might want to take a look. Cheers!

No, what I'm thinking about are things that don't seem unreasonable, but for whatever reason they've not been done yet.  So one that springs to mind is a plier head for the LM Micra.  For goodness sake, the Micra is one of the best selling LMs ever, they do two other mini-pliers, but for some reason never gave the Micra a chance.

This x1000000.  The Micra is just such a well done tool, you can do real work with it.  I have a Squirt ps4 and it has just never felt as well constructed, well designed or useful as the Micra.

Isn't it just a Micra with fancy colored scales?  ???

Needle nose style pliers on my edc swisstool X. that is the only thing it is lacking from the competition. On the other parts it is a winner.

No, the Micra is constructed like a classic Leatherman tool, where each handle is basically a C channel housing the interior access tools and the plier/scissor head.  A notch cut into the handle itself acts as the retaining springs for the tools.
The Squirt series is constructed more like a Victorinox, with many flat layers sandwiched together.  It uses long, individual lever-like springs to provide tool retention.  I don't think they have any parts at all in common, even the blade is slightly different.

How about put a bar on the locks of a Wave so that pushing the lock buttons pops the tools up a little so you can get a better grip on the nail studs?

A pure multiTOOL, no knife. Think a Rebar without the blades, but both the file and saw. Maybe pull the bottle opener and a couple of driver bits to put in a bit holder, but keep the #2PH and the 3/16" drivers (those get the most milage IMHO) and the awl. No blades, it's a true tool and I'd go to court to prove it, while also being slimmer, closer to the original PST in thickness and weight.

Be even cooler if they made it also in the longer, supertool size just so the file and saw can be longer, but if not, that's fine. A 4" puretool with a couple of bits as a companion to a Compact or Climber, and (off the blacktop) your choice of field knife in the 4-5" range, covers all your bases if you add a light and lighter.

I have been saying this for years-  I would like to see a GOOD shears based multitool.

The shears on the Paul Chen Multitasker are great, but the rest of the tool is smurf.

The Raptor is IMHO quite useless, even for the EMT's it is supposedly designed for.

The Bear shears are kind of flimsy.

I suppose the closest I am going to get is the Paul Chen shear swap mod onto an MP600.  I'd love to see a production version of that.
