In the summer I carry a sidearm when I'm on the farm.  Does that bump me up any?  ???

That must be a rough farm!  :o

What do you shoot at? Targets of opportunity, or animals that shouldn't be there?

Level 0: Outcast.  :twak:

No SAK... there's a situation I had not considered.

Well, for the purposes of this poll, just pretend the Micra is a SAK. ;)

It is either a multi tool or a sak but not both at the same time. Seems redundant and can get a bit heavy when a concealed pistol goes with me everywhere also. And just a knife with no tools is almost useless for me personally.

^ this.

I only carry a dedicated knife when in the bush or fishing and then it's a fixed blade. My folders are seeing no pocket time these days as anything I need to cut can be tackled with my MT or SAK blades.

Vic Classic on keys and and an SAK in my bag (usually a Spartan, Explorer or Wenger Tradesman).  Not sure what category it is.

Don't carry an MT unless I know I will need it for something.

I don't see my level, so it must be Level 10 :D or Level 0.
I had a SwissChamp & gave it away years ago.
Always a slip joint, today it was a Queen Barlow and a Skeletool CX.

I went with level 8 which pretty well describes me.  With my Surge, ST300, and ViseGrips on me EVERY day, I don't really need to stash MTs anywhere, although my Wave is in one of my bags and I have a Blast in the glove compartment of my truck.  I actually have some real tools in my truck and my EDC bags as well.

I'd say level 4 best describes me.  I always carry a SAK/MT combo on me.  I do also have MTs/SAKs stashed in various places at home and in the vehicle.

LM and Pocketwrenchon my belt, flashlight and SAK in one pocket, folder in the other, and usually a small fixed blade (neck knife) somewhere on me. Then small SAK and a light and a p38 on my keys. Multitool in my pack (in it's defense, it is a e4 Squirt, not much tool) along with a TOPS folding hacksaw (swag, never needed it, but if I do...) and pair of channel locks and a 4" adjustable wrench.

SAK, LM and smallish fixed blade in the car, with a different fixed blade in my overnight bag. Plus my tool bag, spetnaz shovel and cheapie hatchet in the trunk.

Spare keys are identical to my main keys. Range bag has a folder and multi. Lots of my spare bags have a multi and/or SAK in them. I even keep a Climber in my medicine cabinet in the bathroom.

I don't have a problem. I don't carry too many knives. Just enough to make a point.

In the urban jungle of Manila, Philippines.....

- Micra in my pocket with the keys.
- Rebar + Sidekick in my bag
- (whistle and flashlight with my office ID.)

I'd carry the Sidekick/Rebar on me plus the Micra but the pat-down / metal detectors in the malls aren't worth the trouble hence they stay in the bag.

Whistle and flashlight on an office/school ID lanyard is a trend here since everyone's edgy of earthquakes ("the big one") since Nepal.

I usually carry a Wave on my belt, tactical folder in my pocket along with a squirt p4.   But I did just pick up a classic so we'll see how it works out for me.

I carried a full size MT on my belt for many moons.  Then it dawned on me that I never used it.  I'm 53 years old, and honestly have never "needed" an EDC MT.  I work at home, and carry a fully stocked Man Sack (Maxpedition Mongo) in my vehicle, so I am never far from MTs and other tools.

Now, I could still carry a full sized MT "just in case".  That's part of the fun, and part of the preparedness.  But there is so much other stuff that I want or need to carry, that I have to prioritize.  So for me, its a large folder + Vic Explorer Plus or similar, in addition to my other EDC stuff (gun, Sharpie, light, etc.).

Ground hogs in the horse pastures (their holes are potentially lethal ) and raccoons that are ambling around the house, barn or outbuildings.  I had to shoot a deer that had been hit by a car a couple years ago.

I carry an SAK or C33T in my pocket, Gerber EAB in my work bag and an mt and pliers in my glovebox.

At the most I'm at a 6 but no lower than a 3. I've figured out that I don't need dedicated folders. I have have quite a few blades with extra perks that just a folder is a waste of space for my needs. At work I always have a full mt, and sometimes I'll combine it with a sak and I will always have a tool on my keys. So I average out at 4-5. On the weekends I usually just carry one tool, non pliers based or the switchplier

 Jeremy produces yet another poll where none of the criteria fit  :bnghd:

Anywhere between a 2 and a 7 dependent on the needs/expectations of the day, my MT and SAKs (even larger ones) lives in my pocket not on my belt, I don't consider any of my dedicated folders to be "tactical", even the clipped OHO ones (besides, I'm British, tactical means strategic or calculated not mall ninja-ish :P), and how can you be any more than a level 3 preparedness without a torch/flashlight?  :ahhh

During every day life, I'm at level 6, I always carry a plier based tool on my belt (Swisstool X, ST300, Rebar, Spirit) and my Swisschamp in my pocket.  And 90% of the time I also have a Led Light on me, be it my Tank007, my Led Lenser P3, or my Led Lenser M5.

But when I go on vacation, or even when I'm going hiking in the ardennes forest, I can easily switch to level 8  ::).

I'm going on vacation soon. I think it'll be the Surge in the glove box, and maybe the Explorer Plus in the pocket, maybe on the belt hanger.

I think I'll have my son bring the Hiker, and keep his eye out for a nice branch 'Y' from which to make a slingshot.

Now that I carry an EDC organizer I always have my Wingman, a Case, and a Style PS in it.

I have been pocket carrying my wave when I'm fishing but it's locked open. So my OHT when I'm working.

And my Style CS on my Keychain.

I would consider myself fairly prepared. Especially if I'm near my truck.

I almost never carry a MT on my belt but always have one in my bag or car.

So 4 plus as I add a firearm, LED light, spare ammo and sometimes backup gun to a tactical folder, SAK and nearby MT.
Some days I pocket a Skeletool so maybe higher on the scale then.

Usually a 7 at work, less when I'm off.  Today I've got a Farmer in my pocket, a Spirit RT on my belt, and a Spyderco PM2 clipped to my pocket.
