Gerber MP400 Sheath

I just got a new 400 and I like it so far. I've had the Diesel and the BN600 and both were good but size-wise didn't work out too well for me. I like the compact feel of the 400 while retaining a great tool set...

But gerber sheaths suck!!!! The sheath for this tools is about two inches wider than it needs to be. For a compact tool this is NOT a compact sheath.

Does anyone know if skinth or some other third party makes a good sheath that will fit the 400 snug or more "compact"? Help

The Leather, Leatherman Blast sheath fits the MP400 like skin. Basically perfect. All you might have to do is use a awl and put a small hole in the bottom of the sheath. I will get some pics real quick.

Is that the same 4" sheath that is used on the rebar?

Damn Cap'n, that's perfect! :tu:  Demel, I agree.  The sheath is the one downside to the MP400/450.  It's a monster for the tool size.  The one upside to it is that the Strata fits it perfectly.
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

Oh yea. I wish all MT sheaths fit the tool that well.  :dd:

I did mod a LM Sheath (From a PST, I guess) to fit my MP 400 a while ago.

Original vs. LM sheath



Sorry, pic is blurry, but you get the idea...

Shoulders of sheath trimmed to clear the Locktabs



Punched a hole from the top, I centered the punch with a piece of pipe and four bolts.





Edit: The Sheath, including it´s inhabitant, is available for sale trade.... :pok:



Eyelet in the bottom to fit the Needlenose plier head.



and while at it, i replaced the busted and loose button, too

Wow you did a great job converting that Leatherman sheath.  :tu:

I order the screw driver bit set. It come with a Gerber sheath with double pocket.
One for the tool and another for the screw driver bit set.

Just got my MP400. Carrying it on my LM Wave sheath. Already had the hole in the bottom and the side loop for my LD02.
