I was over at my brothers last weekend and he was showing me his new quadcopter that he got through his work. He is an engineer that works for a company that builds air particle measuring devises and monitors. It is really an amazing piece of technology. It has a great camera mounted on a gimbal that shoots HD video.

The thing really is amazing. It's so stable when it hovers it looks like it's sitting on a shelf.

I so want one of those! I've always been in remotes, but never air. I always wanted a helicopter, but after seeing these things way back it changed my mind! There was another video I saw and this thing was as fast as a plane, I mean this thing would hop over a car and then stop on a dime in under a second! But I can't find the video. But these things are awsome!

During my layover on my way to Canada in June there was a DJI demo booth inside the main hall in Frankfurt airport. Impressive looking kit...

Just watched this rather impressive video the other day shot from a DJI as well:
