I just picked up this Esee 6 OD. Actual pictures will follow shortly. I've wanted a Esee 5 or 6 for quite sometime. My favorite discount store had the 6 so I went for it.

I unfortunately don't care for the plastic sheath, luckily I have a few spec ops brand master sheaths (short and long) and the knife works beautifully in it.

Agreed!! I will use them on all my knives. I just keep rotating my knives through the sheaths. I'll always use a spec ops sheath.

Spec op sheath is great, quite good to wear and I don't have to worry about rusting if I keep the knife in the sheath.

Congrats on the new purchase!

Are they really *that* much better than stock tweener sheaths, or big Becker sheaths? They seem superb quality, I just find myself buying more knives before upgrading the ones I have, even if it would make them nicer to use. Guess that's why I like mods, make it mine on the cheap :D

I'll likely get one eventually, I always do

What I really like is low profile leather sheaths, ideally something with a good clip... The spec ops style is the other style I really like. Can't get into kydex yet. Though the kobun sheath is good... Man, I'm gonna end up with a spec ops now...

I've had countless kydex, leather, low-mid quality sheaths that come with knives and for the longest time I just used the stock sheaths and dealt with it. Until the day I got my hands on the spec ops brand sheath. It is extremely adjustable for smaller to large knives, holds them very tight, locks around your belt loop so there isn't any play on your pants. Even has an extra pocket on the outside for a MT. The craftsmanship and materials are second to none, and you'll have a sheath for life that will adjust to dang near any knife you take into the backcountry.

They are now on all my "Trouble Bag" knives. The LG OD was my first about 5 years ago.

Remember Merlin's question to King Arthur (from memory) "Which is more important, the sword or the sheath?" The answer was the sheath because without the sheath the sword would be lost and then all was lost.  8)

Really amazing fixed blade knives. There seems to be perfect to be kept as boot knife.
If I need to pick some good EDC tools.
Then I would take my love leatherman multi tool wave and a flash light. Other are just a waste !!!
