I had planned to remove the belly from my Rajah III but now I'm wondering if I should leave the belly and clip it instead.

I liked the first version much more.
Which one was it?

Pretty sure he means the longer clip you first posted, and I agree.

I say take it further, and clip the whole nail nick off, and make a new nail nick :pok: You're already cutting the blade anyhow... go all the way

Spear point is significantly stronger. Only practical reason for doing this is if you have to cut something where the spearpoint won't reach, but a nicely sharpened awl will take care of that  ;) Aside from that, this would compromise an otherwise excellent blade for no good reason

What he said  :tu:.

I personally see no point in clipping the point of a non locking blade.

I think the spear point blade is very functional, so this mod may not be an improvement rather a personal touch to add some character to the tool, so that mine would be different than yours. ;)

To me these just look like someone broke them by prying with them.

That would look cool! :tu: Would that be a saber point blade?

I was gonna say 'Do it!', even though I like the original spear point better, but do agree with what you said.

This turns out to be quite nicely done, great job!

You did it! It looks good. I think it would look even better if you shortened the blade a bit too. That would probably make the tip stronger as well.
