Welcome mate
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

I have gone through my fair share of different tool combinations, but my minimalist nature has me carrying a Leatherman Freestyle in the pocket and an old Schenley that was handed down from my Grandfather on the keyring.

Interesting, not a lot of freestyles about, mostly skele's. How do you get on with it?

Pics of the Schenley?  :pok:  :D

The Freestyle is great for my use.  I "downgraded" from a Wingman.  I found that with the bottle opener, flathead driver, file, and small blade on the Schenley coupled with the carabiner it's carried on I have access to most of the item on the Skeletool anyway and only went to the Wingman for the pliers and larger blade so the Freestyle made sense for me.

I did, however, modify a Style CS into a CS/PS hybrid that is basically a mini skeletool. (Shameless plug, it's in the for sale section and that's part of the reason I decided to upgrade from lurker to an actual member)  I carried this exclusively for a while, but found that I wanted access to bigger pliers to tighten the nuts and bolts on my old Royal Enfield when I ride.

So, basically I carry the Schenley everywhere so I have the small blade for opening packages and light duty cutting, opening bottles, and general prying apart of things with the driver.  If I embark on something where I think I'll need it I carry the Freestyle for the larger/1/2 serrated blade and pliers.  I feel like this covers most everything a Wingman, Skeletool, etc would give me access to in two smaller packages.  Do I miss the philips driver? Sometimes.  But I have a full driver/bit set on the motorcycle and in the truck so I feel covered in the more important situations.

I'm considering one of the absolutely do-it-all tools to keep in a backpack for hikes, trail rides, camping, etc.  Not quite sure which one yet, though.
