So! Who's watching the World Cup? Who do you all want to see win?

I'm watching England v Fiji as we speak!

Wales, obviously.  Only half watching the England - Fiji game, but although Fiji are losing, they seem to be doing better than expected.

Equally obviously we're cheering on Ireland here at Blamington Hall :D

Saying that,it's nice to watch a match like England v Fiji as a neutral party!

I don't think I'll be waking up for some of the pool play games, sleep is valuble at the moment, but as it gets closer to the pointy end I will have to make the effort.

Watching Tonga vs Georgia right now.  Not the score I would have predicted so far.

First blood to Japan!  I'll be very surprised if the Boks don't win this one though.

No offense to our South Africa friends, but smurfing well done Japan!

I'm not sure if the ghost of Doc Craven will be  :facepalm:ing the Boks,or respectfully  the Japanese!

So now all Scotland has to do is beat one team who are on a winning high and another who have something to prove.  And Samoa.

Great.

I'm not all that convinced about our chances against the USA.

Well done Japan. Can I admit to shouting for them in that last minute? We deserved to lose and Rugby was the winner. I watched them lose 147-17 twenty years ago in Ellis Park. Screamed for every point back then vs the All Blacks.

Argentina are a better team than they're given credit for,it's still a win for the All Blacks

I think the all blacks went in very complacent and got a wake up call. To be fair if I was them I would probably think the same.

Wish I'd seen that Japan match

The last 10 minutes must have been amazing - No loss of posession for all that time for the Japs, and two penos for the draw draw turned down - Wow - And against two time World Cup winners -
- This is what these touramants are all about. A great chance for the 'second tier' countries to show their metal.
Also looks like a great show from Argentina against the ABs.

England for the win
Also cheering (less loudly) for Scotland, Wales and Australia (in that order) !!!

...... And due to the 'Group of Death' one of my teams won't even make the Quarters

I would have liked to see England win but I work with a Maori & he's already told me that New Zealand are going to win it.

I didn't like to argue with him especially as he has a habit of doing a strange dance & sticking his tongue out at me.!!!

Maybe you could respond with a "liverpool kiss" (but make sure it was a good'un so that when he recovers you are long gone ....  ;)     )

That could be awkward as I work in the middle of the North Sea & there's no where to run to! Besides, he's about a foot taller than me & built like a brick outhouse.

The Australians have an interesting introduction too!

When the japs did not take the 3 points to tie they immediately got my support and I cheered them over the line.

Cheers mate.  I'm not sure I can bring myself to watch though. :ahhh  Up until what happened to the Boks Japan was the one team I was confident we'd beat.  We've played them four times and beaten them four times.  Lets see if the lads can make it five for five.  :tu:
