85mm Wenger vs Wave Blade
on: September 24, 2015, 11:25:19 PM
Does anyone happen to have both a Leatherman (New) Wave and an 85mm Wenger with a locking system? I'm looking to do a mod, and before I gather parts, I'd like to see the sizes of the two blades together. If one of you fabulous Mt.oer's could take a couple pictures of the two together comparing length, height and thickness, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you!

I am not owning a wave for some time, so i only talk from memory. But I do carry a Wenger 2 layer as a companion for my MP 600.
the Wave bade is thicker and longer, but in my opinion the Wenger does more than make up for the missing length as you don´t have the MT in your hand, but a small knife that you can handle much better.

Im looking to try out a one handed with a smaller sak, so I wanted to see relative sizes before I started. However, I've done some research I  the 85mm "lock" and have decided against this particular mod, at least for the moment, as the lock wasnt what I had hoped for, and I already have 91mm parts.
