Book - Ted Simon used a LM in Dreaming of Jupiter

Ted Simon of Jupiter's Travel fame carried a LM during his second round the world motorbike trip (narrated in Dreaming of Jupiter). He used the ruler on the handles to measure coordinates from a map to feed them into his GPS... and got lost. Both books are very good reads by the way.

He's a brave man, he was quite old when he did his second trip

He started the second trip at age 69 and finsihed it at age 71 so yes, respect!
He was actually in his early forties when he did the first, which would also be remarkable for many.

At least he used a Beemer this time, and not a leaky old Triumph

Was it a Speed Twin he used first time round , I know it was a 500cc, but I can't remember the model
