hey fold,anyone of u use billy cans or small kettles for out door cooking by fire ar gas stove.
i dont mean now any trangias but smaller,just big enough to do a portion or two and pack light,maybe havin a lid and handle too?


if u have any knowledge or info on how to get some decent one id be salutin ya.


maybe something in cylinder shape or like this,this looks very nice but the price is too very"nice" :-\

I'm an Australian, so I know all about Billy cans (and also stealing sheep).

Mine is a beat up old thing with a suspect looking piece o' wire for a handle.

It mighta once had a lid.

I don't believe in these fancy russian-doll cookware systems with magic spoons & built in steamers.

It's great for cooking up some soup or wee pot of tea.

For the most part I cook meat & potatoes - neither of which require apparatus, so my needs are few

I have a somewhat smaller camping pot that looks like that.   I think it cost about US$15 instead of £15.
Never heard the term "Billy Can" for those  (somehow the term made me think of something for the other end of the cycle).
