Tony, that's crazy skill!  I saw the post time stamp, and you literally turn an unfinished handle to a well made ready-to-use in minutes!  Really impressive.  :tu:

In retrospect, if I were given the same materials, it probably will take me hours, if not days.  :D

Wood sounds good, the only Puukko I have is wooden lined leather (the sheath that is). You could also try something like this:

I really like this style.

still thinking

For that style knife you need to make the real-thing sheath me thinks.......
My AHTI has a plastic blade protector with the leather molded to that, tapering larger to accept the bottom half of the handle.
I can just imagine a piece of standard electrical conduit heated and flattened a bit is just the deal you're looking for!

Some might say you've already got enough "pointy things".  Not me of course, but some might. ;)

Actually I could do with some of those leather-working pointy things myself.

Nice looking sheath mate. :tu:

Thanks,
That little set was 20quid on Fleabay, I can send you a link if you want,
I did think the holes are a little close together but it is the first time I've used them
That took me hours to do   :-[
