Wenger ID help (Classic 50 variation)

Looks like a Classic 50 with an extra metal saw/file layer. Or could be a Master with a metal saw/file instead of a wood saw. Any ideas?

Interesting find!
Just a word of caution. I hate to say this but are you sure it is not a mod?
Seems to me a modded 1.53.03 "original toolchest" with some implements removed.
I am not aware of any other models made with the car imprint, apart from the 1.39.03 and the 1.53.03.
I really hope I'm wrong on this.
Nice catch anyway!

Could be. Don't have it in hand yet but will look for obvious signs when it arrives. Don't think I want to try to pop the scales. Is there anything else I can look for?

Mis-shipped....should be in Mon or Tues.

Will be ok if it's a Mod because it's a toolset I've always wanted in a SAK...  :D

I think it's a mod which is fine...I can carry and enjoy it!

It has a bit of spacer tightness and the pliers (when closed) covers up the nail nick on the file which tells me that there may have been a layer or two between them originally.

Great toolset. For 25 bucks, I'm happy!
