I love that this thread keeps going. Of course after asking the question, I've used my scissors a bunch of times. Really contemplating a black classic for office carry.

I found out something that may help the owner's of the old scissors on the go: If you carefully place the tweezer tip into the screw and turn the tweezer handle firmly but not too strong, and , you can tighten the screw that way without carrying any extra tools. works at least on 91mm.

Nice tip Gath :tu: Welcome to MTO :salute:

While I'm not a big scissors user, I prefer to use the blades even for tasks where scissors would be easier ::), I would feel naked without at least the tiny scissors on my Rambler or PS4.

Opening packaging, cutting fingernails, cutting paper and cardboard, zip ties.   For the most part, a blade can't adequately do what scissors can.  Sure they can, but it is awfully awkward (and impossible for some of them) to do these jobs with a blade or the awl/reamer.

Just used the scissors on my Style PS to help with a sewing project. Pliers went to work as well.

I guess I'm the only one here who's used the scissors for snipping newborn kittens' umbilical cords?   :climber:  A splash of rubbing alcohol or peroxide and it's ready to go.  :tu:  (Apparently my new momma cats don't have all their instincts up to snuff and need some help, from time to time.)

The one thing I use my Style PS scissors on more than anything and the reason I will always carry a small pair of scissors if for trimming stray facial hair and nose hairs.

Don't worry. I don't trade or sell my Style PS's.  :D

Trimming herbs & greens in the garden.
Especially with the scissors on the Rangergrip 71 / 172

:tu: Although I've now let mine go, the ranger scissors were a very handy tool in the garden.

Scissor-y stuff.
To be honest(this has been said before), I'm very Impressed with victorinox scissors. Very precise and capable at the same time.
You can trim your nails immediately after cutting a couple of heavyish cable ties.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Im still kicking myself for not buying that Ranger from you when I had the opportunity. Gosh I want one, but im totally unwilling to fork over the $70+ for one.
