Bushman sheath
on: April 09, 2017, 06:23:44 PM
Well I've worn out my second sheath on my Cold Steel Bushman so I'm looking for replacement options. I don't want to spend alot of money. It's hard to justify a $70 sheath on a knife I only spent $13 on. So who's done a DIY or found a good aftermarket sheath that works?

Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

Wow Gene!!!! How did that happen?????!!!!!!!

Those are some of my favorite sheaths for my J Russell Dadleys...in fact, I bought a 45 dollar Cold Steel butcher knife just to get the sheath!

Those re-enactor sites (and on ebay) have those Indian style sheath kits that are similar to the orig but you would need 2 to double up the leather thickness to equal that CS sheath...or use the liner out of that one. They are the ones you fold over and use the rivets or sew. I'll see if I have links.

Here ya go:
For 12 bucks, these might be an option...

I have two of these I'm going to put together but plan on using heavy copper rivets instead of those brass tack things....Have more Russell knives than sheaths right now...

Here's a piece of strap leather if you want to cut a sheath out of it...heavy leather.

Maybe buy or make a plastic/kydex liner to put inside the new sheath?  :salute:

Nice looking leather in this thread
Everything’s adjustable
