Wire Stripper Tool?
on: February 26, 2016, 01:55:33 AM
I was looking at the scissors on my Explorer just a little while ago, and got an idea.  What if Victorinox made a multi-gauge wire stripper tool built similarly to the scissors or pliers with grippers on the end similar to that on the Leatherman Squirt E4 or Bear and Sons Electrician Tool?

There's alot of things we wish Victorinox would do.

The wire stripper is one of the most misunderstood tools. It needs to be used along with the blade.
There are a couple of you tube vids about it. Here's one:

Yeah but what do you do with a SAK that is more than two layers?

Yes, it doesn't help much. If you need to cut wire, use wire cutters. The standard SAK wire bender isn't made for that.

I do use the wire stripper tool to strip wires, but I wish there were wire cutters as well
