I had only ever seen clips of the first episode but I just managed to watch it on YouTube.  He may not had won, but then how often does anyone actually try to chop open coconuts?  I think that given a more realistic test Ray's knife would have taken him to the next level.  He certainly made the best looking knife of the three, which is saying something because they were all pretty nice.

That Panabas was a beauty. I hadn't seen one before the show but now I "need" one. It could replace my little axe for trail clearing.
