This might seem crazy. But how about a sleeve style sheath with a clip, that has a built on light?

Something like Adam Savages custom, with a Nitecore Tube dissassembled, internals placed somewhere, and the bulb on the bottom.

You could turn it on while walking to see the ground without holding it. You won't loose it, and due to the clip, and you could remove it and shine elsewhere if needed.

This might not be a great production idea, the Tube can probably handle 2 bolts through as is with no issues whatsoever

Can you post the video or pic of that? Maybe even a link.
Of what? Adam Savages Wave holder?

Yes

Be very careful, if you watch one you'll definetly want to watch all of them :D

I'd prefer a sheath like that in Kydex to Al.

Agreed. It's be easier to work in a light too, and other accessories.

Not sure just yet. I may buy new ones and if so the cheapest model is the climber, or if/when I get it to work customers could send me a set to off set the price.

Sleeve style sheaths are already on the market:

http://www.leathermanholder.com/

But I could imagine something like that in Kydex.

The scissors are a great Idea, but i´m still a Gerber Boy, so I do support the idea and will offer my opinion but probably won´t bea custoer (although I´m eying up a Rebar now and then...)

I would definitely put Vic scissors on my Charge, then I could Recharge it pretty easily. Also if you could make the Vics work for the Skelly, that would be a good lightweight security-area option.  :tu:

Id be pretty happy with a t shank jigsaw blade holder for a Rebar, or a utility blade holder for the same

Let's keep things tidy if we can.
1. Wave with Vic scissors
2. Vic scissors for signal
3. Awl/wire punch to replace scissors
4. Pocket clip that doesn't wobble
5. Vic scissors for rebar
6. Sleeve style sheath / with light (possibly)
7. Kydex slip sheath
8. Tek lok on sheath
9. Vic scissors on skeletool
10. T shank holder (rebar)
11. Utility blade holder (rebar) possibly others

Anyone else can add to list also. Just try to keep it something that is feasible. No light sabers....yet

Im no expert, but if you can make an adapter for Vic scissors onto a Wave, shouldnt it also fit a Signal?

Depends on the distance from the lock to the pivot. I'm still waiting on the wave to arrive to confirm.

So how would the scissors function in the Rebar? Are you cutting lock notches?

Hopefully yes. It will function just like a regular tool. These are all works in progress if they work.

The wave has arrived. Rough is saying it lightly. It was so bad that Tim Leatherman would have cried. However it's fine for what I needed. Now to finish up a few mods then it's tool time!

Cool, I don't know how I'll work out payment when/if it comes down to it. In the end I want to replace my saw with an exchangable saw/file holder.

Any plans for something to replace the ferro rod/whistle on the signal? From what I've read if you simply remove it the pliers stick out the side. Also, what about putting in wave scissors? are they too long?  ???

Well a small update. I've been swamped with sak mods and that pays the bills. But scissors will fit the rebar but it takes some work.

I am *SO* interested in Large Vic Scissors in place of the saw on my FrankenCharge, and Vic Scissors in place of the serrated blade on my Rebar.

Make it so.
