Because I'm not totally overworked I decided to give 3D designing a go... after some playing around I sent my first prototype off to Shapeways for printing. I was simply curious how close I am.

Utility Blade Holder for Charge
I need to brag a bit here, but all it took is about a minute of file-work and it fit. The pivot hole was a bit too small and I needed to file off some material at the back where the lock secures the blade (that was intentional as the tools are not entirely symmetrical).
Of course I have to decide now what kind of screw will hold the blade, but overall I'm very pleased with the result.

Cutting edge is 15mm long
Max cutting depth is roughly 10mm

Side view. With the enhanced contrast you can easily see where the blade fit. Btw. the blade is from Logan but others carry the same.

Thanks guys, once I have decided what kind of screw I want I will make a second prototype, then make the final product (probably in aluminum). That at least is the current plan. I'm also considering switching to a scalpel-holder as they do not require screws and would therefore fit easier into the frame.

Added a screw... had to file down the head a bit to make it fit into the frame.
I think I will have to make a custom screw for the final product, as I need a head diameter of roughly 4mm or more.

Ideally it would use a standard utility/razor blade. Leatherman needs to make that a feature themselves...
