Does anyone know of a reference to tools made in the USA? I believe all the Leatherman tools are made here but don't know what others may be. I want to get a good, large tool and prefer made in USA if possible.

Utica Kutmaster still makes one version of the MultiMaster in the USA.

SOG makes their higher end tools in the USA- like the PowerLock and ParaTool.

Also, Gerber's MP600 and MP400 series are made in the US.

Buck doesn't have a lot of current offerings in the multitool department, but some of them might be USA made as well, I'm not sure.

The Gerber Legend MP800 is made in USA, too.

The Klein TripSaver is a rebranded version of the Utica tool and is made in the US.

Bear and Sons has their Bear Jaws line, and those have been rebranded as Craftsman and Remington at least.     

Older Schrade Tough Tools are made in the US.

LM are made in USA, but they do have some minor parts made out of the US, which is why some? tools no longer say  made in USA (California Law).

This is true for other companies too. Things are not clear.

If you buy a tool, e.g. swisstool, from a US dealer then the money actually going into the US economy may be the same as if it was made in the US.

Bear and sons do not have the best reputation.

Why get something made in the USA when the best are Swiss made?   >:D

Really though, the SwissTool is pretty hard to beat, especially in quality. 

The Gerber MP600 is a pretty tough, kick ass MT though, and should be mostly US manufactured/assembled.

Leatherman has some good big offerings too.  The Surge, and ST300 are both tough MT's.  Again, both should be mostly US manufactured/assembled.
