Deejo Knives
on: March 25, 2016, 05:25:59 AM
Hi All,

I tried doing a search on these but only found one thread and it was quite old, too old to post in so I thought I'd start my own. I am about 95% convinced I want to purchase a Deejo but I just wanted to see if anyone here has one and what their thoughts about it are.

The main reason I am interested in these knives is to have something to carry when it isn't opportune to carry one of my larger leathermans. I like the idea of something slim that will fit nicely into the inside pocket of a jacket without having it make a bulge or wrinkle in the jacket. I realize the Deejo isn't an everyday workhorse but that's fine for what I want.

So let me know your thoughts!

Thanks!
Leatherman:
Charge TTI, Wave, Kick, Skeletool, Style, Brewster, Juice C2, PST II

Victorinox:
Sport, Driver, Tinker, Traveler Lite, Cybertool Lite, Swisschamp, XAVT

I sold mine shortly after getting it. It's very lightweight and cool looking, but too inconvenient to use and fragile for me. You can do only light-weight work with it, I think.

It also feels a bit awkward when you cut an apple, let's say and the blade is heavier than the handle.

As the principle derailer please accept my apologies. It looks like the only member here with any experience of the Deejo is N_N_R and she wasn't that  impressed:

Have you looked at the Victorinox Alox Solo or Bantam? Pretty slim and sturdier than the Deejo. Also, the handle is more ergonomic and balanced.

Thanks and sorry if I came across a bit strong, I was just excited the other day to see so many replies but then saddened to see most were memes. I appreciate the honest response.

Hmm that is a good suggestion too and might meet my needs just as well. I will take a look at some of the slim Alox knives.

Thanks again for the input.

No prob! Thread derailing is almost mandatory here in MTo, but we always end up helping each other out.

If your budget is no problem then get an Al Mar Hawk Ultralight.

1oz of slicing goodness.  Pretty much the weight of the light 27g Deejo.
