Awesome 2!

Now we'll have to wait for Barry's pic (it appears everyone else is in the minimalist challenge).
BTW I would like to have a look at your library, I've seen some interesting titles lately.

Thanks Ronald!!!  Books are mostly Hist/Lit with an emphasis toward esoteric/mythological/symbolic lately.  Probably 90% of my books are still stored from the move. Have a few Bushcraft/Camping titles as well.
A fair portion of natural history overhere, a lot of maths and some linguistics - in a previous life I was a crack computer programmer. I liked the job very much but only when it was raining outside  :)

Impressive! What is that beehive grid on the map? I've never seen anything like it. And why do the waterways follow the grid lines? Are they artificial?

Its hexagonal grid (gets rid of time/distance problem with diagonal movement on basic grid). And the map is accurate (on 8km scale) as one hex describes 8000 meters of distance.
These maps are usually used on strategic or operational wargames as this one too. This being one of those monster games that takes whole human life to play through (thousands of hours from ten to twelve players).
Kind of an never ending hobby that changes to an project after few years of playing. The map itself is ten feet (around 3 meters) long.

Aha, that explains a lot. I thought it was a real world map. I understand about the distance problem (looked it up on Wikipedia). As I said, impressive!
