I think I read it in the booklet of a Reverend Bizarre album can't remember though

Mikko said that @ 1 time it was used in their translation of the Bible as the word 4 devil but it was a Norse god or something like that as well I believe, he said that they use a different word for it now

Originally it was the churches way of demonicating (don't know how to put that or spell it ) pagan gods and religion

I may be totally off base on this though  maybe he will come along and correct me

Reverend Bizarre was really good band,ive saeen them few times,its a shame they stopped...


Well perkele,is old god,who was demonized after we were forced to christianity by friendly "believe or die,heathen" methods.but yes,perkele,represents very much the same as Thor does.i aint religious type at all,but i am not against those who believe,no matter what their poison,as long as others arent killed,tortured or mentally hurt in name of any religious excuse.i am intrested in old scandinavian religions though,very much.


but its also curse word,but more that that its its about finnish attitude.i cant say now better but ill try to type more clear explanation.
